As we are just hours away to the end of the year 2014, we are doing a little recap of the incredible QUEEN SHEVAs we talked about every Wednesday and why we named them QUEEN SHEVA.
These women range from entrepreneurs, actresses, directors, comedians, writers, philandthropists, between others and what they all have in common is that they are all inspiring and have vaginas (in case you don’t remember what is a QUEEN SHEVA, you can read it here).
And now, the lineup of the extraordinary women who were our QUEEN SHEVAs of 2014:
Malala Yousafzai: became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her activism and raising awareness for the right to receive an education.
Amy Phoeler: wrote “Yes, Please” to show people how to get what you want in an honest, polite, yet bold way and sharing her personal experiences with humor.
Keira Knightley: showed her boobs to the world and asked the magazine not to photoshop her body to “enhance” certain body parts (boobs!) and that showed everyone that you need to love your body and yourself and not to live up to someone else’s standards.
Karla Ruiz Cofiño: has a motto that inspires everyone who meets her with #Let’sChangeTheWorldTogether because it’s a group effort.
Melinda Gates: has been a philanthropist her entire life and with her foundation is addressing the issue of health, poverty and education worldwide.
Susan Wojcicki: made Google what it is today by renting her garage and bringing in 95% of Google’s revenue and now in charge of YouTube, plus raising 5 children.
Clara de Tezanos: is changing the world of photography in Guatemala with her photography school and the GuatePhoto Festival by making Guatemala the hub of culture.
Shonda Rhimes: received an award for breaking the “tough-unbreakable” ceiling they have in show business for women and African-American, but in her speech she took it as a participation award because all the hard work was done by all the women who came before her.
Karlie Kloss: is showing girls that having beauty doesn’t mean you don’t need to use your brains, by coding learning how to fly a drone and creating cookies to help provide nutritious meals to those who can’t afford it.
We had a very short list of women in 2014 because we only started in October, but wait until 2015. We will have 52 unbelievable women with incredible stories doing things that we an only describe them as being AMAZEBALLS.
