A lawyer and an avid supporter of health-and-wellness causes, our QUEEN SHEVA of Today is widely known as the coolest First Lady of the United States: Michelle Obama.
Michelle Obama grew up in Chicago with hardworking parents who put a great emphasis on education. By 6th grade, Michelle was a gifted student taking advanced courses and learning French. She graduated in 1985 from Princeton University with an B.A. in Sociology and got her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1988.
While working for the Chicago branch of the law firm Sidley Austin, she met her now husband Barack Obama (aka President of the United States). Through the years she was an executive director for the Chicago office of Public Allies,an associate dean of the University of Chicago, executive director of community and external affairs for the University of Chicago Hospitals and then appointed vice president.
A hardworking Michelle, decided to step back from her professional work to support her husband on his campaign trail for the 2008 presidency. While her husband was sworn to become the 44th President of the United States, she stood right next to him and pledged to serve her country.
Michelle’s role as the First Lady of the United States has made quite an impact on her country and the world. She’s focused on healthy families, service members and their families, higher education, and international adolescent girls education
She’s launched several initiatives to aid in her efforts mentioned earlier like Let’s Move to fight childhood obesity, which is why we’ve seen her dancing around with Ellen.
Michelle also launched Joining Forces to help service members, veterans, and their families; and Let Girls Learn to help girls around the world get opportunities to go to school and stay in school.
And, what she considers her greatest job ever, Michelle is raising two beautiful daughters, Malia and Sasha.
Although she is leaving the White House soon, with the 2016 elections, we know she will forever be a Woman in Power and our QUEEN SHEVA.
