America’s Sweetheart and the voice of Mother Nature makes our QUEEN SHEVA of this fantastic Wednesday a force to be reckoned with: Julia Roberts.
Julia Roberts grew up thinking she wanted to be a veterinarian, even though both her parents and siblings had the “acting” bug. It was when she moved to New York in the 80’s to join her brother and sister that she went on to auditions.
We’ve known her as America’s Sweetheart since one of her first roles as the soon-to-be-wed Shelby on Steel Magnolias. Her track record include other films like Mystic Pizza, Pretty Woman, Sleeping with the Enemy, Hook, The Pelican Brief, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride, Erin Brockovich, America’s Sweetheart, Ocean’s Eleven, Mona Lisa Smile, Closer, Ocean’s Twelve, and the list goes on and on and on.
Her role as Erin Brockovich made her the highest paid female actor at the time with a $20 million paycheck. Plus! She won her first oscar portraying the activist. She tends to portray awesome women who have a purpose in life and want the best out of everyone like Professor Watson in Mona Lisa Smile. And then she lent her voice as Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web. She’s said that she does the movies she wants to do, not because she needs to work.
In 2014, she received the GLSEN’s (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) Humanitarian Award alongside her husband Danny Moder. They were honored and define humanitarian as the person who brings attention to the welfare and good works of others.
And her latest endeavor to be generous and kind and have others to the same for each other, she became the voice of Mother Nature for Conservation International short films. A powerful and heartwarming voice makes the ideal Mother Nature.
Julia Roberts is definitely doing what she likes and making an impact on everything she sets her eyes on. A fantastic soul makes for a fantastic QUEEN.
