According to recent studies, an average sized penis is 3.6 inches when flaccid and 5.2 inches when erect. However, men come in all shapes and sizes so there is no “normal” sized penis.

Regular birth control has to be prescribed by your regular health provider. If you do not have one, you can always check with local clinics such as Planned Parenthood. Non Prescribed birth control such as condoms can be purchased at your local pharmacy or online store.

You can’t really get rid of your vagina’s natural scent. However, good hygiene habits like regular showers, good wiping techniques (front to back) and changing your underwear can most definitely keep you smelling clean and fresh down there!

The vagina is the interior part of “your parts” and the vulva is what you see outside. Your vagina has a great mechanism that cleans itself, so there’s no need to shove some soap up there. To clean your vulva, we recommend to use a mild soap (no fragrance) and water.

Unfortunately, PMS tends to be a bit unpredictable. However, there a variety of ways you can alleviate your symptoms. Drinking plenty of fluids during the days you begin to feel PMS, engage in regular exercise activities, and keeping a balanced diet especially on those days. We’ve all heard the myths around sleeping with a tampon on and the horrors of Toxic Shock Syndrome. In reality, tampons can stay in (depending on your flow) up to 8 hours. So if you feel like you must sleep with a tampon for extra protection, just make sure you’re not sleeping in for 10 hours and that you replace it first thing in the morning!

There are many different sizes and variations of menstrual pads out there. You should get different pads for during the day and overnight sanitary pads for ultimate comfort and protection. We suggest you try out a variety of pads before you commit to one as preferences vary for woman to woman. A safe option for beginners are pads with wings that cover your underwear and wrap around it.

Once again, it all depends on you and your V! In our opinion, beginner tampons are the ones labeled light tampons or the regular tampons. Once you begin to get to know your menstrual flow and what feels comfortable you can go up or down sizes. Check out the many varieties we have on the Vagina Store.

Menstrual Cramps are normal, they are caused by the contractions in your uterus that cause the release of blood during your period. Some women experience very light cramps during their periods, others can experience very painful cramps which can usually be alleviated by heating pads and over the counter medications.

However, if your periods are accompanied by bad cramps and other symptoms you should give your doctor a call to discuss available options to relieve them.

Bleeding in between periods can be annoying and sometimes alarming, but it is also perfectly normal for this to happen (in certain instances).

If you just finished your period, your vagina might still have a few remnants of blood it’s still shedding out. We know, it’s annoying. If you don’t want to ruin your non period panties, we recommend you use pantiliners.

Your birth control method might be the cause of this too, if you just switched birth control pills, just got a UID, or you missed a few birth control pills (Yikes!), this could be the reason for premature bleeding in your cycle. The hormones in emergency contraceptives (progestin and estrogen) will also cause spotting in between periods, don’t panic this is completely normal. But also, don’t take this as a sign you are not pregnant.

In some cases, spotting can be cause for real concern regarding your health, cervical cancer, STDs and fibroids can cause you to bleed between periods. If spotting between periods becomes persistent every month, and it comes with other symptoms, be sure to visit your doctor as soon as possible.
