Is Gatorade (or similar) a good idea after working out?

    I’ve heard you must drink it after 45 minutes of heavy exercise and not just drink after doing one jumping jack because they have a lot of sugar.

    A gatorade or any other type of energetic drink has one purpose, to hydrate your body. The difference is exactly that, they have flavors or colorants. Many people prefer these drinks because they taste good, but honestly water is a better option to hydrate your body.

    I completely agree with Sandy. Those drinks are good to hydrate, but if you’re trying to exercise to loose weight, then those drinks are not good at all. They have a lot of sugar and calories, while water does not and it does the same thing the drinks do. If you’re looking for flavour, then they’re ok, but I wouldn’t recommend drinking them each time you do exercise!
